It’s getting warm in Truckee and Tahoe Donner, that is if you can call 30 degrees warm.  Banks of snow are giving way to brown earth, that’s been covered in white for 6 months.  Aspen buds, just beginning to brave cold nights, risk sending furtive shoots into the air.  The summers first eagle is flying way up in the clear sky. Skis are packed away for winters rest while, sore muscles and casted limbs are starting to heal.

Beginning to think about getting some plants.  We need a little color around here.  Like to smell some flowers too, but not too soon.   Old man winter still has some surprises left.   He waits around the corner, that sly devil, until we have planted those first flowers and bam, a surprise storm and flowers droop.   On the other side, we get to plant again and have two springs, yeah.
