JMA VENTURES HONORED
Art Chapman, president of JMA Ventures, received the Large Business of the Year Award February 7th at the Truckee Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner. JMA Ventures, based out of San Francisco, is the new owner of Alpine Meadows and Homewood, two large Ski Resorts in Lake Tahoe California. Additionally, JMA Ventures is currently working with the Truckee Planning Department for the Avery Hotel, which would be built in downtown Truckee close to the Truckee bridge on Brockway Road.
While JMA Ventures has a prominent presence in Truckee and Lake Tahoe, you may also know them as owners of the historic Ghirardelli square in San Francisco which they are currently refurbishing. JMA Ventures has also partnered with Pat Kuleto, a world renowned restaurateur, on several projects. All have been associated with fine food, atmosphere and high quality.
Art and his wife Colleen, have been Truckee residents for a number of years and are both heavily involved with the community. Art is a member of the Truckee Noon Rotary as well as several other service organizations. Colleen is a Founding Member of the Queen of Hearts with the Truckee-Tahoe Community Foundation.
The Truckee and Lake Tahoe communities are fortunate in having JMA Ventures, particularly Art and Colleen Chapman, as members of their community. They are taking personal pride in developing old land marks in such a way as to enhance their history and bringing some much needed improvements to these areas.
