Judge rules against the Friends of Truckee in the Railyard lawsuit.   A Nevada County Superior Court judge ruled in favor of the town of Truckee and Holliday Development regarding the planned residential and commercial development at the Truckee Railyard.

          Judge c Anders Homer’s May 26, ruling denied a petition from the Friends of Truckee, a group who sued last year to stop the Railyard project.  The project has been in the planning stages since 1995.  The ruling opens the way for the project to now move forward.  The project has been approved by both the Truckee Planning Commission and the Town Council.  

           Now that the litigation has been satisfied, State and Federal grants can be pursued.   These funds represent 1.5 million dollars.
