Well it's just a few days before Christmas and everyone’s interest is not on real estate but on dinners, families and gifts.     The logistics of who is coming for the evening, what should I wear, travel arrangements, will it snow etc, etc. etc., is at the forefront.

Historically, this week, people are not interested in buying or selling homes.  However, from the 25th of December on, responsibility over, it's as if the gates were to have opened and the activity for the new year begins in earnest.

We are seeing new interest in the real estate market.   Curiously, we are seeing multiple offers on some homes in certain price ranges, usually those that are distressed properties.   Interest rates being low and other government  incentives, have encouraged this market activity.  The values of distressed properties has caused much of this interest but with multiple offers on these properties, the  selling prices  many times turn out to be higher than listing prices .
